Crowd / Atmosphere: hodgepodge of young and old. Families and dates. Lively and rambunctious groups. Music playlist varied from My Morning Jacket to other indie hits
Drinks : Cocktails were good not great...still wanted to savor ever sip
Dishes: tuna tostada (must have), bucatini, burrata, chicken sandwich. Every dish from start to finish did not disappoint. Best meal and dining experience we've had in months -

Dinner here was just lovely. We sat in the charming outdoor area and split a pitcher of a delightfully pink drink called Literally Can't Even. It was so tasty I literally cant even describe it fairly haha. Our entrees were fantastic as well. We split the bucatini cacio e pepe and the diva burger. The pasta had a brown sauce on it, which threw me off, but it still tasted classic and delicious. The burger was also great, cooked perfectly with funky arethusa diva cheese. Will definitely return here. Great spot for a date or a intimate dinner with friends. Absolutely loved the atmosphere outside.

Love this place. Cocktails are creative and mixed perfectly, wines by the glass selection is great. Service is always en pointe and the waitstaff are great at interacting with the customers and are not afraid to let their personalities shine. I like the atmosphere and ambience.

Really enjoyed lunch here... it was delicious. I had the Tuna Tostadas, they were amazing. Sushi grade tuna, fresh, light and tasty. The service was excellent. Menu looks very good... I would definitely come here again to try some of the other options. Highly recommend stopping by for a bite.

This place is the real deal. I'd heard of Bill Taibe's restaurants and have been meaning to try one of them. After an attempt to get into Kawa Ni at 7pm on Friday, we were told our only shot at a table was about 9:30. So, next on the list was Jesup Hall.
It's a larger space with a bar area & high tops, with regular tables on the other side. We ate at the high tops and decided to try several of the smaller plates and capped with an entree.
The green olive monkey bread was a little misleading. It was two rolls, covered in a honey glaze with a goat cheese smear. It wasn't the monkey bread I was expecting, but delicious nonetheless.
Next up was the lamb stew. It was a red broth with lamb, garbanzo beans, squash, mint and a soft boiled egg. Another great option, that would've been complemented nice with a chunk of bread to sop up the sauce, since licking the bowl is frowned upon outside the home.
The ricotta dumplings were way better than advertised. I was expecting a ravioli type dish, but the waiter explained it was closer to a gnocchi. It came in a light, truffled-type, clear sauce and some shaved truffles[?]. I'm not usually a mushroom person, but truffles are the exception. It was so good that I also wish I could've licked that plate clean as well.
The main event was the pork shank. It was a huge ham hock that was slow roasted and then roasted to a crisp, salty cracklin skin on the outside. The meat was nice and tender on the inside but really popped with flavor on the outside with that crispy exterior. It came with a mix of vegetables in a buttery broth. It was so good and big enough for a doggie bag to take home and savor another day.
The night was capped off with pistachio cake. It came doused in lemon thyme sauce, a scoop of pistachio gelato and sprinkled with clementines. It was another delectable dish that wasn't overpowered by the nuts. The cake got good and spongy between the sauce and gelato.
This really was a five star restaurant. It's not cheap. The bill came to around $120 after tip and no alcohol. They also tack on a surcharge for the cooks. I'm not a huge fan of that practice. It should be up to the owner to compensate his employees fairly, or just reflect it in the price of each dish.
Aside from the prices (it IS Westport), every now and again, it's good to splurge on a great meal that delivers from start to finish.
